illinois
Vogel twins travel
Illinois offers a diverse range of attractions, from the bustling city of Chicago with its iconic skyline, world-class museums, and deep-dish pizza, to the tranquil beauty of Shawnee National Forest in the southern part of the state. If you're a history buff, you can explore sites like the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum or visit the historic town of Galena.
When we visited
The best time to visit Illinois depends on what you want to do and see. We visited Chicago and it is recommended to visit the late spring (April to May) and early fall (September to October) when the temperatures are mild, the crowds are smaller, and the hotel rates are more affordable.
Packing Essentials
What to pack for a trip to Illinois depends on the time of year and your planned activities. We visited in October which can be unpredictable, so it's best to pack for both warm and cool temperatures. Feel free to check out our amazon storefront to see what we used on our trip to Chicago.
Booking
