When we visited

The best time to visit Japan is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is mild and the scenery is breathtaking. The cherry blossoms bloom in spring, making it a popular time to visit. We visited in November. The Autumn offers colorful foliage, comfortable temperatures, and fewer crowds. Avoid traveling during the rainy season (June to July) and the typhoon season (August to September) when weather conditions can be unpredictable.

Packing Essentials

When packing for a trip to Japan in the fall, consider the weather, which can be cool and crisp. Pack comfortable and breathable clothing, such as jeans, light sweaters, and a light jacket. Also, consider bringing comfortable walking shoes, a portable charger, and a small umbrella or raincoat in case of sudden rain showers. We recommend checking out our flight and camera essentials from our amazon storefront! These items were super helpful on our trip!

Currency

The currency of Japan is the Japanese yen (JPY), which is widely accepted throughout the country. You can exchange money at banks, post offices, and some hotels or use ATMs, which are widely available in convenience stores, airports, and train stations. Credit cards are also widely accepted, but it's always a good idea to carry cash, especially in rural areas.
